Lower Colorado Headwaters Watershed Assessment
The watershed assessment is following a procedure prescribed by the Front Range Watershed Protection Data Refinement Work Group titled “Protecting Critical Watersheds in Colorado from Wildfire: A Technical Approach to Watershed Assessment and Prioritization”. See sidebar for more information.
The Lower Colorado Headwaters watershed is part of the fourth-level watershed named Colorado Headwaters. It has been divided into two parts for these assessments. The other part has been named the Upper Colorado Headwaters. The Phase 1 analysis has been completed. Please review the results (see sidebar).
