JW Associates is a small, woman-owned company located in Summit County, Colorado. For the past 30+ years, our primary business has been providing water supply organizations with watershed/wildfire hazard analysis, pre & post-fire planning, and stakeholder facilitation services. Jessica Wald and Brad Piehl are the owners of JW Associates and are directly involved with all our projects.

Featured Projects
Wildfire Ready Action Plans (WRAPS)
JW Associates have been the primary consultants on various Wildfire Ready Action Plans (WRAPS) across the state of Colorado over the past three years. Currently, we have completed 2 WRAPS and are working on 5 more.
Colorado Springs Utilities Partnership
For over 10 years, we have worked closely with Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) & the US Forest Service (USFS) on various watershed-wide, collaborative projects with the goal of reducing the impacts of wildfires on water supply watersheds.
Upper Gunnison Hazard Assessment
This assessment identified, prioritized, and recommended measures to protect critical watersheds in the Gunnison region from both climatic changes and post-fire hazards.

Over the last 20+ years, JW Associates spearheaded the creation of various stakeholder groups in Colorado focused on protecting natural resources and brainstorming innovative actions to manage changes in natural resources and environmental health due to climate-change induced disturbances.
