Big Thompson Post-Fire

Gulley Treatments

Project Summary

2024 - Present

JW Associates identified key locations for gulley treatment work after the Cameron Peak Wildfire burned parts of the Buckhorn Creek Watershed, which is a tributary to the Big Thompson River.

In the Cascade Creek 7th Level Watershed, approximately 20 low-tech structures were installed in one main gulley that developed as a result of post-fire hillslope erosion.
